Vanguard

The Vanguard division of TVW is an alternative to employment day program for adults with developmental and physical disabilities. Services are currently provided to over 40 adults and include support to participate in paid work, community outings, personal care, engaging in individual and group activities, and support to accomplish individual goals and interests.

Some of the activities offered at Vanguard are participating in arts/ crafts, games, movies, and socializing with peers. Paid work opportunities that are available include light janitorial duties, preparing documents to be shredded, and shredding of documentation. Vanguard has a Community Inclusion Specialist that is dedicated to taking our clients out into the community to participate in outings that include going to the library, shopping at local stores, bowling, dining out, going to the park, fishing, and various other activites catered to each individuals choice.

People with disabilities that enjoy exploring and developing new hobbies and friendships will find Vanguard to be a satisfying and enjoyable environment.

For many people with disabilities this is a  new opportunitity to explore friendships outside of their group home and try new activities.

Habilitation

The Habilitation Department at TVW values individual work ethic, skills development, and productivity.  This is strongly reflected through the on-going training program and methods of skills acquistions offered to people with disabilities.  Individuals requiring vocational services through rehabilitation range from all ages, including high school students involved in our school transition program.  Developing skills at TVW is a individual-centered process, whereby each participant’s own unique interests and choices are TVW’s utmost priority.

TVW offers paid work, paid technology and skill building training.  Some of the newer programs include handmade paper products including greeting cards, hand tags and bookmarks.  The handmade paper is constructed from office recycling, which is made into a pulp and embedded with wildflowers seeds.

TVW newest venture is bicycle restoration and repair.  TVW clients are being taught mechanics, painting, and other skills that will be valuable when seeking outside employment.

Sustainable Cleaning Systems, (formerly TVW Janitorial)

Our mission is to support the employment choices of people with disabilities. Our janitorial division provides a number of rewarding and challenging options for employees in the janitorial and building maintenance field. Whether our staff aspires to be great cleaners, leaders, or carpet and floor care technicians, we work with them to reach their goals. Our dedicated leadership staff works closely with our employees to provide support, training, and quality control in all of our accounts. Our program strives to enhance the lives of Oregonians with disabilities by providing them with competitive wages, medical and dental benefits that include paid vacation leave. Janitorial work is challenging and is a great form of physical exercise which makes it a perfect fit for the Qualified Rehabilitation Program and the community it helps and serves.

We provide full janitorial services including carpet cleaning, day/night porter service, floor care, window cleaning, and top-level janitorial services. At TVW, we aim to please and plan to succeed by setting our sights high and knowing our customer’s needs. We understand that our customers are busy and we work hard to make their cleaning service as smooth and successful as possible. We can set up planned walkthroughs with customers that work around their schedules and provide them with quality assurance reports to review so they know what’s going on with the cleaning in their facility. We want to make their cleaning experience as pleasant as possible.

At TVW, we pride ourselves on service and accountability and strive to treat each of our customers’ properties as if it were our own. We work with our customers one-on-one to understand the specific needs of the property and its staff. We understand that each facility is unique in its cleaning needs and TVW goes beyond conventional training to learn each building’s individual heartbeat and develop cleaning programs that keep specifications fulfilled and the properties healthy and looking sharp. We use green cleaning chemicals and practices in our services and try to stay at the head of the curve with new cleaning technologies. Oregon is an exciting place for a cleaning company to be in terms of new environmentally preferable cleaning technologies and we take advantage of that in our services. Whether you are a LEED accredited facility or just getting involved with the Green Building movement, we can help you reach your goals. We understand that cleaning for health is cleaning for the future and that is just good business. The health and well-being of our staff and customers is our number one concern. If you have questions about green cleaning and how it could help your business or employees be healthier and more productive, please contact us. We are more then happy to assist in any way possible.

“Our vision is to be the QRF janitorial company of choice for our customers.”

We would like you to be part of our vision. Whether you are looking for cleaning services for your property or office, or you are interested in being part of our program, please contact us and be part of enriching the lives of Americans with disabilities through employment.
