Howard Rice, Production and Sales Manager, came to TVW in 2010 at the urging of Dan Aberg, TVW’s Executive Director. Dan knew Howard would be an excellent addition to the TVW staff from his past experience working with him at the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce.
Howard’s sales goals at TVW include helping TVW fulfill its Mission of “Supporting the employment choices of people with disabilities”.
Howard’s sales experience includes owning Premier Publications and Advertising where he provided contract advertising sales for six Portland Metro area Chambers of Commerce. Howard eventually settled at the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce where he spent 17 years as Membership and Publications Sales Manager. Howard ‘s experience as Executive Director at Open Door Counseling Center in Hillsboro also includes leading a team of HUD certified counselors; where issues such as homelessness, first time home-buying, preventing mortgage foreclosure, and reverse mortgages were dealt with.
Howard works with TVW’s core customers and seeks to locate new customers that need TVW’s packaging and assembly services. Howard is willing to serve in most capacities at TVW from sales, to roof repair, fixing things, making jigs, etc. If Howard sees a problem, he will fix it.
Howard stated that the most rewarding part of his job at TVW is working with companies that want great service at competitive rates while trusting that TVW’s disabled employees will meet their expectations, which ultimately fulfills our mission to employ disabled adults so they can be more self-dependent.
Howard and his wife Linda reside in Cornelius and have four children and 2 grandchildren, with whom they spend a great deal of time.
